Kale Avocado Smoothie
Kale detox smoothie is perfect if you are looking for a light smoothie recipe. Of course, avocado makes it creamy and smooth and help hide the taste of kale.
This kale avocado smoothie you can use it as breakfast smoothie or even as low calories meal replacement.
Kale Avocado Smoothie Ingredients
Kale – Kale is not everyone’s favorite when it comes to taste. But, Kale leaves are one of the best green leafy ingredients in smoothie. I would say, kale is a powerhouse smoothie ingredient. Loaded with fiber, protein, vitamins and many beneficial nutrients.
Avocado – Love the creamy texture of avocado. They are very good source of good kind of fat. Help maintain the heart health and blood pressure.
Blueberries – I call them antioxidant powerhouse. Low in calories but high in antioxidants.
Strawberries – Strawberries are low in calories and loaded with antioxidants.
Banana – You really do not need frozen banana chunks. Regular fresh banana is perfect to add creamy texture to your smoothie.
Water – Add one and half cup water.
Easy Ingredient Swap
You can replace strawberries and/or blueberries with any kinds of berries that are high in antioxidants. For example, you can replace with berries of your choice such as black berries or raspberries.
Most important for those who are not ready for kaled-out smoothie. Yes, kale has bitter taste, other ingredients reduces the taste but if you are new to this whole kale smoothie world, then go easy on kale. Use just kale leaves and do not use stalks. Also you can replace with baby kale to make it milder.
If you are looking to add extra boost to your smoothie then you can consider to add superfoods such as chia seeds or almonds. Even you can use plant based protein powder to give little extra boost to your kale avocado smoothie.
How to make Kale Avocado Detox Smoothie?
Add two cups of chopped kale leaves along with 1 diced avocado, 1 cup of blueberries, 4 to 5 diced strawberries and 1 medium sized banana.
Add one and half cups of water and blend all ingredients until they are liquefied.
Quick Tips: Got frozen fruits? If you like you can replace fresh strawberries and blueberries with frozen berries. I recommend to use either berries or banana frozen otherwise it will make your smoothie super icy.

- 1 PC Avocado
- 1 Meidum Banana
- 4 PC Strawberries
- 1 Cup Blueberries
- 1.5 Cup Water

- Add 2 Cups Kale leaves in blender.
- Add diced avocado.
- Add diced strawberries, 1 cup of blueberries and diced banana.
- Add one and half cup water, blend all ingredients until everything is liquified.
