Green Leafy Vegetables + Fruits + Superfood + Liquid = Healthy Smoothie
It’s not very hard to start living smoothie lifestyle. I would say it needs 50% of your dedication and 50% will come from smoothie taste. 🙂 It is not as hard as committing to the gym and force yourself to gym for workout.
Living smoothie lifestyle is very easy and doable. Healthy smoothie a day has changed my day to day life, since I adopted smoothie lifestyle, I feel big difference… I feel more energetic and stopped worrying about gaining unnecessary weight… yes, you got that right….healthy smoothie diet will help you control your weight or help you losing weight. Matter of fact… smoothies are full of color and tasty!!!
Green leafy vegetables, at first it might not sound exciting…. Raw green leafy vegetables bring either unpleasant taste or bitter taste in mind…. isn’t it? But, trust me…by following recipe that I share here, you will not even realize that your healthy smoothie is full of nutrients with great taste!!!!
Smoothie has replaced my morning breakfast. Healthy smoothie has become my habit now. I recommend you to add super food in your smoothie but it is optional. My smoothies are made with my favorite superfoods. I try to include Almonds, Goji berries, Chia seeds and Fig in my smoothie. I will cover about superfoods in detail in separate section that will give you detail about benefits of adding superfood in your daily smoothie life.
Liquid plays major role in smoothie thickness. You can add more or less liquid to get the thickness of your smoothie. I generally use plain water, coconut water, almond milk or original fruit juice – no added sugar or flavors.
Gym lovers can consider to add protein powder in their smoothie. I will share some pre-workout smoothie recipe and post-workout recipe which you can use on your workout day. As a whole, any energy boosting smoothie filled with whey protein is good for post workout.
Excess of anything is not good. This blog will help you decide the portion of green leafs and fruits that fits good for your body type. You are your own judge as individual body type is different. At first you may not know the exact portion that your body needs but over the time you will learn yourself. There is not any standard formula for everyone as we all have different body types. Nutrient density is important in smoothie lifestyle. Any excess nutrients your body will reject so everything needs to be in proper portion. Believe me it is not hard at all.
As a whole, healthy smoothies are meant to be nutrient rich – full of vitamins, antioxidants.
Stop Counting Calories…..
You can consume calories so many different ways… for example, by eating a donut or a full SNICKER candy bar can get you more calories more than your body needs. But what about all those good nutrients required for health of body? Yes, you got that right…. Consuming calories is very easy but consuming calories and good nutrients same time is smart thing! Healthy smoothie lifestyle gives you necessary calories and nutrients – vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. If your goal is to lose weight then I strongly recommend you to make smoothie your lifestyle. My smoothie recipes are filled with nutrients – vitamin A, Vitamin C, potassium, calcium and/or fiber. These nutrients will boost your energy, maintain heart health and blood sugar level.
People who wants to avoid animal products can easily achieve that goal with green healthy smoothies. These smoothies taste good without dairy products and animal products such as eggs, meat, milk, and yogurt or protein powder.
Superfood smoothie lifestyle is the way to go!
